Smash Bros. Developer: You need to understand.

From SmashBros.com (Sept. 18. 2007):

"But because this form of communication is greatly affected by the distance between you and your opponent, your brawls may not run smoothly if you're really far apart--like, for instance, if you're connecting between Japan and America."

Further, "The more distant you are, the worse your connection becomes, and the slower it feels. I apologize, but I hope you understand."

Hope I understand? Here's what I understand. I understand that a nut on Halo 2 can smoke me from Taiwan -- if Microsoft sold any consoles in such territory -- and have absolutely no lag. Why should I "understand"? Let me translate the above quoted text to what I actually hear in my head:

"We're lazy. This online shit is only last-minute. We basically 'forgot' about online play...again. But, you're all a bunch of fanboys so you'll eat it up anyways."

Suddenly you've accepted the fact that Nintendo continue to be a bunch of fuckrags and just move on -- until you get upset again when it's time for another fucking E-Reader or VirtualBoy.

I played "Super Mario Strikers: Charged" a few weeks ago. First thing I did was test Nintendo's shit and went right to online mode. I tried this 3 times and guess what? Each time I played I was disconnected abruptly before the game started. For all of you assholes not too fucking good at math, that stacks up to about 100%.

Now before you start thinking, "he has a bad router" or something stupid like that let me remind you that I have 3 wireless routers setup in my home. Each is a different brand/make.

The kids over at Nintendo need to get their shit together.

Comments

Zixaphir "I have 3 wireless routers setup in my home"

Tomkinite Hey, listen. Not if they are all on different channels. Alright?

Keith 3 APs would be no problem if they were setup as WDS or MESH. The only reason for that would be for some very large area of coverage.
